Two Factor Authentication (2-FA)

Overview

Two-Factor Authentication (2-FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. Instead of just a password, you need two types of verification to log in.

How It Works

  1. Enter Password: First, you provide your password.

  2. Provide Second Factor: Next, you give a second form of verification. This could be a code sent to your phone, a code from an app.

How to set up

Step-by-step instructions for using 2-FA (Google Authenticator)

  1. First, install the Google Authenticator app on your mobile phone to start using the Indoleads platform.

  1. After downloading the authenticator app, the user should go to our application at http://indoleads.com . During the first authorization, they need to scan the QR code using the Google Authenticator app (not the regular camera on the phone).

The next time you sign in, you will need to enter the 2FA code from the application you previously installed.

3. After the user has scanned the QR code and completed all the steps provided by the service, they will need to enter the 2FA code when accessing tabs such as Billing.

Also, if you try to change your password, you will need to provide a 2FA code.

If you lose access to your authentication app

Some apps have backup/recovery functionality, while others do not.

If you lose access to your app or can’t use it anymore, you should contact your Affiliate Manager via email from account which one required to be reseted and provide the following proofs of identity to have your 2FA reset:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email

  • Company

  • Position

  • Phone

  • Preferred IM

  • Details of one of Billing profile details (bank name, account number, beneficiary, swift)

After that, we can reset 2FA, so the user will need to re-activate it completely on the next login.

 

 

How to pair a second device for 2-FA

In some cases it’s necessary to have the 2-Factor Authentication setup on multiple devices, this is mostly the case if a team is working under a user account.

To pair another device, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to “Account > Profile”

  2. There is a section “2-Factor Authentication”, where you can see a button “Show 2-FA QR Code”:

  3. After click on this button a modal will be shown, which contains the QR code to pair another device. Just follow the steps there.

At this stage, the user must scan the QR code from his second device, then the code will appear in the application.

The same information - two users can be logged into the same indoleads account from two different computers, and the service will work!
